The builder’s “Add an item” list. Lights are priced per unit: a 25 ft strand at $30 is one unit. “Feet per unit” turns measured feet into units on quotes made from a design (200 ft ÷ 25 = 8). Changing a price doesn’t touch quotes you already made.

Terms

Copied into each new quote. You can still edit them per quote.

Lease. We provide and own all lights, clips, cords, and timers. Your price includes installation, season service, take-down, and storage.

Booking. A 50% deposit is required for your job. We can arrange your installation date before the deposit is paid. The remaining balance is due when installation is completed.

Installation & Take-Down. We install in November and early December and remove everything in January. We’ll coordinate scheduling with you by phone or text.

Season Service. If a light or strand goes out during the season, just call or text us. We’ll take care of it at no charge.

Access & Power. Please provide access to the installation areas and working outdoor outlets. Any additional power runs or electrical work may be quoted separately.

Changes & Cancellations. Changes to your approved design may affect pricing. Your deposit reserves your installation date and is non-refundable. If plans change, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to work with you.

Damage. We’ll treat your home and property with care during installation and removal. Damage to our lights or equipment caused by severe weather, animals, or other people is not covered and may be charged at replacement cost.

Ways to pay

Tick the ways you take payment. They show after a quote is approved, on every invoice and its PDF, and in the booking and invoice emails. A detail that starts with http shows as a link.

Phone app

On iPhone: open Light Ops in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. On Android: Chrome menu, then “Install app”.

It opens full screen with its own icon, like any other app, and stays signed in for 30 days.

Leave the last day empty to keep it up until you switch it off. The button needs both its words and where it goes: /quote.html is the quote form, /design.html is Design your lights.

Write what the banner says before switching it on.

Online payments

Turn online payments on or off on each quote and invoice, under Terms / Payment in the builder. When it’s on, the customer sees Pay $X online on their quote or invoice page and their Light Guys page: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer, on Stripe’s secure page. An approved quote takes its deposit; an invoice takes its deposit while one is due, then its balance.

When Stripe says the money is in, Light Ops records the payment by itself (a bank transfer a few business days later, once it clears). No receipt email goes out from Light Ops.

The switch on this card is the default for new quotes and invoices.

Stripe isn’t connected yet. Stripe’s keys go in the server settings (STRIPE_SECRET_KEY and STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET).

Google reviews

When a job is completed, Needs attention offers to ask the customer for a Google review by email or text. Their Light Guys page shows a review card too.
